Where to Order Coffee Online 08/03/2011
I've had a lot of readers ask me about where to order beans. The purpose of this blog is to celebrate coffee, but more specifically, it's to support local coffee shops in Los Angeles and Orange County, because although exceptional coffee is of the utmost importance, it is the unique perspective offered by local establishments that make slurping a cup of joe all the more engaging. Although I encourage you to go out for a jolt of java in your neighborhood I understand that this isn't always practical, and I do care about you having an exceptional cup of coffee, so if I ordered coffee online, these are the places I'd order from. And yes, some of these coffees can be rather pricey, but so worth it. When you find the one that's deserving of a wad of cash you can alternate with one at a lower price point. To really rev up your coffee knowledge you can subscribe bi-weekly. Any online coffee bean sources you'd like to add? Love to hear suggestions. Please comment below. Comments08/13/2011 10:30
We offer direct trade (you, us and the farmers) green and roasted specialty coffee. You can find us online @ www.2coffeeguys.com but please follow our roaster's coop on facebook @ "ibssmr", follow "2 coffee guys" too; on those pages you'll see some fancy bags from some of the micro farms and coops we represent. We take all major credit cards

I've been getting my local roasted coffee beans from Jeff Dugan at Portola Coffee Lab--he may be OC's only true high-end coffee establishment. Currently, his direct trade Brazilian micro-lot is my favorite (orange zest/milk chocolate), but only until the next set of new purchases. His shop features the latest tech and wonderful variety in how they can brew your coffee, so it's worth visiting in person. Typically, when I pick up a bag, the roast date is only 1-2 days old, so I have to wait a bit to let the CO2 do its thing.
